TopReach imports CSV and JSON files. If your list is in Excel or Google Sheets, save or download it as CSV first: XLS and XLSX files aren't accepted.

  1. Go to Settings → Import Data, or click Import on the People tab of Contacts.
  2. Under What are you importing?, choose Contacts. You can also import Companies, Deals, Notes, Tasks and Activities.
  3. Upload your file.
  4. On Map Fields, click Auto-map, then check where each column goes. Columns can go to built-in fields or to your custom fields.
  5. Under Number to call, check which phone column the dialer should call. Your other phone columns are kept as extra numbers.
  6. Optionally set Default tags when blank to tag rows that have no tags.
  7. Choose how to handle records you already have: Create only (skip duplicates), Update duplicates (merge with existing) or Test run (preview, no changes).
  8. Click Upload to start. You'll see Importing, then Done.

When you import deals, also choose a Default Pipeline and Default Stage for rows that don't name one.

Follow an import

Every import is listed in Settings → Transfer History (Data Transfer History) under Imports, where you can follow its progress or cancel it.
